Your Vision on Paper
BYO Home Design Phase
Once we have a clear understanding of your preferences, our preferred draftees and designers will assist you in designing your dream home.
This includes creating floor plans, elevations, and structural plans that meet your needs and comply with local building regulations. This is where your design starts to come to live
Finance
BYOHome
Traditionally banks don’t lend funds to owner builders unless they have a large percentage of equity however BYOHome offers clever finance and works closely with a leading and award winning broker to provide funds for Owner Builders. Visit our finance page for more information.

Engineering & Scope
BYOHome Engineering
We work with qualified and experienced engineers to ensure the structural integrity of your home, this includes Certified Plans and other regulatory requirements all from one location, thus simplifying and shortening the approval process. We also provide energy efficiency options to ensure your home is built to modern environmental standards.
Permits and Approvals
BYOHome LGA Approval
By now your home is coming to life on paper. You have full design sets, engineering scope and building plans all ready for council submission in order to obtain the required permits and building approvals.
No Stress – At BYOHome we will assist with all the necessary approvals required by the local government authorities (LGA) to ensure your project meets all regulatory requirements.

BYOHome Construction Phase
Once all approvals and plans are in place, we will begin the construction process.
As an owner builder, you will have the opportunity to work with us to manage the construction process, choose tradespeople, and be on hand during the progress of your build.
We will provide constant updates and support along the way, ensuring that your project stays on track and meets the agreed timeline and budget.
Quality Control
BYOHome Inspections Phase
During the construction process & upon completion of your home, in conjunction with you, BYOHome will conduct regular inspections to ensure that everything is up to the required standard and meets your satisfaction. We will also provide you with all the necessary documentation, including certificates of compliance, warranties, and manuals for your new home.
We also recommend engaging a Building Inspector, preferably one with a Building Background. Ask us for Recommended Inspectors, alternatively, you can source your own.
Moving Day!
BYOHome Final Handover
Congratulations, your new home is finished and ready for you to move in.
During hand over our team will not only give you the keys, but spend time with you room by room explaining how everything works, running through appliance manuals and making sure that you are 100% happy with your new BYOHome.
